My first post

Welcome to my first Post!

I wish I started this blog from day 1, but I just didn't think of it until now.
Through the blog I hope to share my journey during my first year in network marketing and beyond!

I'm with a great company, Usana and am just completing my 4th month. Wow! What a journey it has been! I started with 2 people early this year and now I have 107 associates in my downline. And I was #2 in growing my business in the Nation! What's funny is that I don't know why people think that MLM's are "get rich quick schemes" because this has not been easy! I wish it was. There's been so many ups and downs, but I feel it is worth it. I want to work hard now for a 4 years rather than 40 yrs at a corporate nine to five job.

When I first hit Gold Director back in February, I was like a machine and was thinking, "done....what's next?" . . . Then a few weeks later I hit Ruby director (maxing out 2 business centers for 4 weeks in a row) "done... what's next?" My wife, Jen, and I were just rolling.

I still wanted to keep on going, but the Jedi himself, Mike Callejas, told me that the best thing to do now was solidify each leg and to get them going on their own....... I have found that this, by far, is the hardest part of the business.

My great friend "the prince" reminded me of Jim Rohn the other day, "if you help other people get what they want, you will get everything that you want."
That is such a great quote, and, as a leader, I have to remind myself of that daily. This business is so great that the ONLY way for it to work is if you help the people under you make their money!

Eventually, I will run into someone in my downline that WANTS to do the same thing I did (grow their business like a madman/woman). Its just a matter of figuring out who these new leaders are and getting those leaders to step up. And after growing the business in a short period of time, the next step is now figuring out how to maintain that growth.... that's by helping others below you get P-A-I-D.

1styearmlm,

Great start with your blog and your 1st few months in network marketing. The only way to fail in this business is to quit. Practice and frequency does not make "perfect," but it does make improvement. "You're getting better.....and who can get better? Anybody."

You are on the right track when going back to basics and spending more quality time(3-6wks) with your downline leaders towards more complete duplication vs. your(recruiting) growth. I believe your roadmap is a good one. All that's left is the all most important- consistent implementation. Be about it.

Here's To Your Continued Success,
